Medication use in neonatal patients proves to be a dynamic and challenging process. Dosage formulations, excipients, and limited therapeutic options force clinicians to creatively manipulate medications in order to provide optimal care to this vulnerable patient population. We will review common clinical issues that arise daily in neonatal practice from a pharmacists’ perspective.
