Webinar

Join IQ, EuPFI, and ILF as they present a webinar on Defining Essential Elements of Paediatric Drug Formulation -- Monday, 27 November 8 AM ET

The European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI), IQ Consortium and the IAS Industry Liaison Forum (ILF) are delighted to invite you to attend a virtual brainstorming session on “Defining essential elements of paediatric drug formulation acceptability”. The conference call involving people actively engaged in acceptability issues of paediatric drug formulation development will take place on Monday, 27 November, 16:00-18:00 CET (07:00-09:00 PST / 10:00-12:00 EST / 20:30-22:30 IST).

The Global Accelerator for Paediatric Formulations (GAP-f), which aims to accelerate research, development, regulatory filing, introduction and uptake of key paediatric ARVs in age-appropriate formulations, is being developed by a number of partnering organizations (World Health Organization, Medicines Patent Pool, Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Unitaid, Global Fund, PEPFAR and International AIDS Society – through CIPHER and ILF).

As part of GAP-f activities, a Research Toolkit for Paediatric Drug and Formulation Development is being assembled to facilitate fast, efficient and focused development of paediatric formulations and provide guidance to researchers and manufacturers (both originators and generics) as well as other organisations with an interest in drug development.

Acceptability is a central element to the development of child appropriate formulation. The upcoming virtual meeting will bring together the experience of formulation scientists and contribute to the development of the module on acceptability. The meeting objectives are to:
· Finalize the outline of the module, making sure that it adequately covers all relevant issues
· Provide concrete case studies and examples to illustrate frequent issues
· Provide references (including to documents and contacts) to allow the reader to further their search for information.

Please join us for this interactive virtual meeting. The agenda will be shared in advance of the meeting.
