Administering drugs via enteral feeding tubes presents with several challenges in clinical practice. While enteral nutrition is essential for patients unable to swallow food orally, ensuring accurate drug delivery and maintaining therapeutic efficacy via the enteral route is complicated by various factors. This webinar offers an understanding of how factors associated with the tube itself and drug formulations can influence the outcome of drug delivery through enteral feeding tubes. It also introduces in vitro techniques that can be utilized to identify critical aspects affecting the administration process. These insights aim to aid caregivers, healthcare professionals and formulation scientists to navigate the complexities of administering drugs via this special route of administration.

This webinar is open to the general public and membership in the IQ Consortium is not required.
