Global Research in Paediatrics (GRiP) is a Network of Excellence aiming to improve the health of children globally, by the development & safe use of paediatric medicines. Work Package 5-Paediatric Formulations, led by Catherine Tuleu & Tony Nunn, has developed an international platform to share knowledge, expertise & experience around paediatric drug delivery.  As part of this, GRiP launched a series of “Meet the Expert” webinars to hear about challenges & issues faced in paediatric drug development & the approaches used by the experts to create better & safe medicines for our children.

The 9th webinar will take place on Wednesday 28th January 2015 15:00 hours GMT, and will be presented by the IQ (Innovation and Quality in Pharmaceutical Development) Consortium’s Drug Product Leadership Group (DPLG) member Trupti Dixit. The title will be “IQ Consortium’s Survey of Pediatric Formulation Development:  Industry Perspective”.  Dr Trupti Dixit is currently Associate Director at the Chicago Pharmaceutical Sciences group of Takeda Development Center of Americas, Deerfield, USA. She is a pharmacist by training and has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kentucky, USA.  Her expertise is in formulation development of injectable and solid dosage forms.  Dr Dixit is an active member of IQ Consortium’s DPLG and the lead of the Paediatric Formulations Development Survey Team.
