Announcing Global 3Rs Award Program Winners and Launching 2021 Nominations

The Global 3Rs Award Program recognizes individuals for their significant innovative contributions toward the 3Rs of animal research to advance ethical science in academia or industry in any area of biology. In 2020 the IQ Consortium and AAALAC International hosted their sixth successful Global 3Rs Award Program.
Congratulations to the 2020 award winner, Maria Karlgren, Ph.D., for her work, "A CRISPR-Cas9 Generated MDCK Cell Line Expressing Human MDR1 without Endogenous Canine MDR1 (cABCB1): An Improved Tool for Drug Efflux Studies," Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2017.
We also congratulate Sara Gago, Ph.D., who received an Honorable Mention for her work, "Lung colonization by Aspergillus fumigatus is controlled by ZNF77,” Nature Communications, 2018.
